Flycloser Friday Reflection 11/17

At TNHS our motto is to take care of yourself, each other and this place and we are striving to meet those same expectations within my student organization, softball, as well. As we embark on a new journey into the 2017-2018 Softball Season our goal is to constantly take care of one another and this community. With our season just starting up we have already began to show huge progress in care. For example, this week was our first week of open field and the team is already meshing together and helping one another out by giving them rides to Planet Fitness and communicating with one another about practice. Also, softball is a mental sport along with physical so it is very easy to get down on yourself, especially as a new player, so I believe the team has already done a great job of showing care by picking each other up, lending a helping hand, and staying positive. I would now like to take this chance to shout out all new players who have had the courage to come out and step outside of their comfort zone and try something new; your leadership is remarkable! Personally, I try to exemplify my care for the team by shouting people out with E-Cards every week who have worked hard or communicating dates effectively through the blog so everyone can have equal opportunities all year!
Now that you know how we have lead within our organization I want to set a few goals on how to lead within the community as well. As a whole team we will be expected to attend any service opportunities arising with our community partner and will be held accountable to uphold the standards of Thomas Nelson High School and its softball program within the community. We are looking forward to building strong connections within the community and displaying how we can care for one another as opportunities arise and we can show our care.
